Nature is my companion & teacher – a place to go when I need to quiet my mind, and a source of wonder & wisdom as I seek to learn & grow. Like a mermaid, I dive deep into the presence of nature and in doing so, find my truest self mirrored back to me in all the beauty I see. Thus, the name of my work and website!

I am particularly drawn to flowers & ferns – their colors & shapes, and how they unfold from within. They remind me of where my power lies, and of how my uniqueness is the very source of my belonging.

I collect and press many of the flowers that speak to me in nature. Then I use them to create images that reveal the treasures I discover there. I love how my medium of pressed flowers is also the very source of my inspiration.
